the SR-71 was the first plane to catch the speed of mach 3 some say its design was follow to make the F-22 catch this speed while the blackbird start leaking fuel in full speed f-22 dosnt have a problem black bird was only retired because it was to expensive otherwise it was great at its job gathering information about the enemy easily without any problem
